When someone says they're "going to" do a thing, it means they won't.

People don't actually "lie to spare your feelings". They lie to spare themself
from having to deal with a thing, though it will hurt you more later to find out the hard way,
when they could have just told you now to help you. But people only care about themselves.
There's no actual thing as "lying to spare someone's feelings."
Please stop using - or falling for - that line of bullshit.

You cannot change someone’s mind.
You can talk someone into something, with lengthy effort and exasperation.
You can get them to verbally “agree” that way, but within 24 hours
they will revert back to the stupid way they were originally thinking.

People expect from others what they expect from themself.
Anything someone suspects or fears you may do, it's because it's something they do.
So if someone thinks you may lie, they lie and their word is uselessly untrustable as a rule.
If they fear you may steal, don't leave them alone with ANYTHING you care about, not even a pen!
Conversely however, if they trust you - to hold a secret, guard money or reputation,
give a solid opinion and so on - this indicates they're trustable in those ways themself.

You're not picking the best man. You're choosing which party to allow to get in and do their usual shit.
The Democrat party has always been just representative democracy in action. DEMOCRACY.
Republicans are not even a party. They're a couple thousand rich guys who used money they scummed away from you
TO BUY your democracy, take over your free press and use it to brainwash you, take your rights and money AWAY.
